Wolfson updates in Linux 2.6.34

Linux 2.6.34 was released yesterday. As well as featuring ongoing contributions to the general kernel infrastructure and bug fixes this release of the Linux kernel also added drivers for WM2000, WM8904, WM8912, WM8955, WM8978 and WM8994

WM9090 driver released

A driver for the WM9090 has been released. The WM9090 is a high performance low power audio subsystem with integrated headphone driver and Class D speaker driver. Like all Wolfson audio drivers for Linux this can be obtained from our ASoC page. For more details on the WM9090 please see the main WM9090 product page.

Wolfson updates in 2.6.33

Linux 2.6.33 was released today. As well as containing ongoing contributions to the kernel infrastructure from Wolfson this release also adds support for the WM8711, WM8727 and WM8320.

Linux driver for WM2000 released

A driver for the WM2000 has been released. The WM2000 is a low power, high quality handset receiver speaker driver with Wolfson myZone™ Ambient Noise Cancellation (ANC). It provides enhanced voice communication quality in a noisy environment if the handset acoustics are designed appropriately. Linux driver for WM8994 released

A driver for the WM8994 has been released. The WM8994 is a highly integrated ultra-low power hi-fi CODEC designed for smartphones and other portable devices rich in multimedia features. Linux driver for WM8955 released

A driver for the WM8955 has been released. The WM8955 is a low power, high quality stereo DAC with integrated headphone and loudspeaker amplifiers, designed to reduce external component requirements in portable digital audio applications. Linux driver for WM8904 released

A driver for the WM8904 has been released. The WM8904 is a high performance ultra-low power stereo CODEC optimised for portable audio applications, with features including a class W amplifier, FLL with free running mode, Mobile ReTune and ground referenced headphone and line outputs. Wolfson updates in 2.6.32

Version 2.6.32 of the Linux kernel was released today. As well as more our ongoing contributions to the kernel infrastructure this release is also the first to contain drivers for our WM8310, WM8311 and WM8312 PMICs and audio drivers for the WM8523, WM8776, WM8961, WM8974 and WM8993.

Linux driver for WM8320 released

A driver for the WM8320, an integrated power-management subsystem specifically targeted at the requirements of a range of low-power portable applications, has just been released. Version 2.6.31 of the Linux kernel was released today. As well as our ongoing contributions to the kernel infrastructure, bug fixes and minor enhancements this release features audio drivers for WM8940, WM8960, WM8988 and WM9081.
